The Mountain Courtyard Thekkady ★★★★★

The resort is very well maintained and has a very pleasant and calm atmosphere. The staff is very courteous. Special mention to Mr. Ebin from restaurant.

The entry road to the resort is damaged (~200m)

Staff is very courteous and eager to help. Especially Neels, Abby, Jasmine, the chef (Najo or Ajo, apologies for forgetting the name). He took our cooking demonstrations intm the evening.

Indoor activities can be maintained better.

Location is in middle of a cardamom estate. Hence a very nice ambiance

Roads are very step and hard to reach. They promised me to send a GST bill which they never sent. Rooms had many insects coming. and Rooams had very less or no ventilation hence it made a very bad sleeping experience. Pools had the tiles ripped of in many places and all of us had bad cuts in the feet. Food was having tooooooo much salts than necessary in all foods. Which was very much undesirable for most of our crew.

- Pool is under maintenance - Approach road is quite bad - Rooms require some maintenance and modernization. - The balcony doors look very old and the lock for the room is from the previous era. Don't have the key card.

Nice scenic nature view

Tv channel connection in room had lot of issue. Was unable to view channels without fluctuation.

Location was good. Breakfast was also good.

Staff is very hospitable and is the highlight that uplifts the resort The rooms are spacious with all the functional amenities The cultural program along with tea & snacks is enjoyable A la carte food was tasty

Cleanliness was hit and miss with evident collections of dust and rust at places Breakfast spread was limited and not tasty Bathrooms are sparse and could do with a makeover

Didn't get authentic Kerala food . Appam was something I craved for but was more like a flatbread.

Hotel was above our expectation because it was situated on a mountain surrounded by lush green forest. Amenities were really good, hotel staff was really helpful and sweet spoken. They had a good breakfast and room service was also quite fast and the food quality was also quite good. Room was quite spacious and well made.

Internet connectivity was extremely bad. All the rooms on the first floor, they had windows on the 2 sides on top of the room and there was no possibility to black it out, we used to wake up early in the morning because the day light came disturbed our sleep, extremely annoying.

The friendly staff, complimentary tea & cooking demonstrations. Excellent buffet breakfast!

Some music in the restaurants wouldn’t go amiss.

Located very close to the national highway but still peaceful. Landscaping is excellent and enjoyable for children. Very courteous and co-operative staff. Full marks to their hospitality. Food was fresh and sumptuous. Rooms were clean. Very close to nature.

The property is very aesthetically done, with beautiful architecture merging with nature. The room was beautifully prepped for a personalised welcome. The swimming pool is quite big, clean and surrounded by greenery, which makes swimming there a very relaxing experience. The staff is very warm and hospitable. We were very well taken care of by Mr. Prabhu, the Guest Relations manager; he also helped us out when the lock on our suitcase was jammed and didn’t open. The spa was a very rejuvenating experience, offering Kerala Ayurvedic massages by experienced & hospitable masseurs. We were also lucky yo catch a glimpse of a fully grown, giant Malabar squirrel from our balcony.

The food spread tries to cater to all tastes by keeping dishes from various cuisines, but their forte is Kerala cuisine. They could include more Kerala cuisine items in the spread.

This is our second stay at the Mountain Courtyard after the staff led by Prabhu wow'ed us with the great hospitality during our visit in August this year. It's pretty uncommon for us to travel to the same location, that too the same resort !!! But the Mountain Courtyard is irresistible... From Chennai, this is a long 8 hour drive and we don't have any second thought when it comes to Mountain Courtyard... We are planning our next visit during Pongal next year !!! Nestled in the beautiful western ghats near major attractions and spice gardens in Thekkady, the place is a comfortable retreat to enjoy the cardamom plantation that surrounds you and to indulge in relaxation on the hammocks or having a nice tea amidst the clouds during winter. More than anything else, it is the hospitality that makes the Mountain Courtyard stands out. It all start from the top, the GM Mr. Prabhu. The restaurant too have wonderful people who understand and meet the customer expectations... The Chef Rajesh, the managers Jyoti, Lindo and the busy bees like Rajesh at the table... great team !!! The walk to the Nazranipuram Church is a must to do !!!

Was an wonderful ecperience staying at Mountain courtyard. Mr. Prabhu took at most care from the time we reached and till we stayed there. We didnt feel lonely and had good stay.
